New Weblog

I have put Darren on the job of posting updates for us.  I just don't do a good job of keeping up and I get frustrated.  So, he decided to start a new blog on a different site.  I will update this xanga one periodically, but add the new address if you want to have more frequent updates.  Today the post are similar, but they will not always be!

Santa Clause is coming to town...

It's Christmas time and the festivities have begun.  What a fun time of year.  We went to the annual Christmas Bazaar the other day.  Kacy got to sit on Santa's lap...she was not nervous at all, but rather was very excited because Santa gave her 2 little candy canes.  They also had lots of fun crafts to do...I think Kacy's favorite was making a stocking.

The other night Hawkins and us went down to Timeworld to see the lights.  It was beautiful, but we were swarmed by Koreans wanting to take their picture with our kids.  There is just something about white kids with blond hair.

Here are a few pictures from our recent fun...

Sara Emma Price

Sara Emma Price
Born:  October 28th, 2006 at 6:36pm
Weight:  3.8 KG (8lbs. 4oz.)
Length:  58cm (22.8 inches)

That is the official word.  Dr. Yang delivered another little girl on Saturday.  This delivery was much quicker and more enjoyable.  I didn't get to the hospital until 4:30pm and as noted above I delivered at 6:36!  I also had a much more "real" epidural.  If any of you heard me talk about the one I had with Kacy "fake epidural" this one was WAY better and to me that is important!  Things have gone well and we are back home.

Kacy is very excited to have a new little sister and is even okay with the name although she pulled for Anna for a long time!  She came up with Anna and stood by it for a long time, but Darren and I just couldn't go with it.  Anyways, she is very proud!  She has had a good time with her Grandma and Granddad Penland, I'm pretty sure getting away with whatever she wants!  Reality might be tough!

I will attach a few pictures.  I hope that you enjoy.

By the way...Sara Emma is my Grandma Penland's name.  She is truly a woman of God and has been and continues to be an inspiration to me.  I know that she prays for me daily and will now be praying for her new great-granddaughter.  She is adding 4 great-grandchildren in the next 3 months!

Here are the pictures....

Pictures and Alignment

Just so you know, I consider myself fairly technological, but I cannot figure out how to align my pictures on xanga with the text and everything.  Maybe I was just too tired tonight.  I can hardly keep my eyes open!  Sorry about it.

Chusok

Chusok Holiday is coming on Friday and I think that it is good timing for a break...although I do finally feel like I'm getting into the routine again at school.  We have no plans for the holidays...well Darren will be going to Vietnam for a few days, but Kacy and I will be staying behind.

We have spent the last few weeks fixing up Kacy's "big girl" room and setting up her old room as a nursery again.  We will have to finish up the project over Lunar...but Kacy is pretty used to her new room and very happy with it.  She sleeps most nights in her bed all by herself all night.  Although we have had a few nights of adjustment.  Darren took some pictures of her room, but hasn't downloaded them.  I will post some when I get them on the computer.

So, Ms. Rhee had her baby about 10 days ago and Julie Brownlee is currently in the hospital with her little one working its way out.  Leaving the next to be me!  That is a little scary, exciting, but scary too.  I have about four weeks left and need to make it the whole way in order to take leave through Christmas Break!  That is the real goal.
Well, my real goal in posting was to add some pictures.  I feel like it has been a while since I put any pictures up...so here you go.  Enjoy!

Kacy and Aunt Lesley enjoy some quality time this summer!

Kacy is showing off her new red dress, shoes, and headband that her daddy brought her from China.  She also got a red umbrella, but that didn't make this picture.

I just love this picture of Kacy and Darren.
